Reasoning

Okay, me writing any kind of blog related to politics shocks me more than anyone. However I just moved back to California from New York during the height of this recession-depression, at the beginning of Obama's term, and during a war that should be over. Do I know everything? Hell no. Which is exactly why I'm doing this.

I'm tired about people rambling about politics or current events and being in the dark. Every time I pick up a newspaper I'm completely overwhelmed by its content, by the wording, the abundance of facts, "facts", facts! How about some news that someone who didn't major in political science can follow? I'm a fashion girl. I care more about buying my next pair of shoes or jeans than buying a book on politics or reading the New York Times. That may seem completely shallow or selfish, look at it how you want but that's my passion, it's what I'm good at and it's not changing. In spite of this, or maybe because of it, I want to know what's going on in my country without sounding like a pretentious pain in the ass. I want to write something anyone can follow, but something that is respected.

The question I'm sure needs to be adressed is which political party do I identify with? Well you can decipher that easily enough after reading this blog, but I was raised by liberals, have lived in two blue states, and that is what I consider myself. Democrat all the way, but TRUST me I listen to both sides. FOX news plays in my house consistently, and I'm forced to listen to KGO every morning on the way to the train station- I live with two Republicans in their 70's.

Okay, let's give this a shot.
